The annual Miss Perham, Miss Heart of the Lakes and Miss Teen Pageant is nearly upon us.
Girls, if you were ever interested in competing, please fulfill your ambitions. You will not regret that you competed.
Being a parent of a former Miss Perham and Miss Northwest, I know how proud I was of my daughter when she competed, even when she did not win.
Parents, please encourage your daughter to enter if she has an interest; you will be very proud. On the other hand, if you have a daughter that has absolutely no interest, please do not push her into it. Always be proud of your children.
The next city council meeting will be Monday (Aug. 13) at 5:15 p.m. in the council chambers and all of you are invited. If you want to review what is on the agenda, you can go to the cityofperham.com website and click on “council,” where everything we will be acting on will be posted the Friday afternoon before the council meeting.
