What a terrible tragedy in Colorado this past weekend. Sympathy and prayers go out to all of the families of the victims.
Some are calling for restrictions on guns again. I don’t believe that this will help. The criminals will find a way to pull off these senseless acts and new laws will not prevent this, it will only penalize those of us who abide by the law. If more were permitted to carry and someone in that theatre had been armed, maybe, just maybe, there would have been fewer victims.
The mayor’s seat and two council positions will be on the November election ballot. If interested, contact City Hall and file. The dates are from July 31 to Aug. 14. You may be wondering if I am going to run again. Well, I will decide in the next couple of weeks.
With this relentless dry weather I am asking everyone to be very careful when outdoors; help to prevent any fires. Lets pray for rain and pray that it comes soon.
