The excitement continues in the Perham and New York Mills communities.
This past week, the new baseball grandstand in Perham held a grand opening on the 4th of July, with many attending. A great baseball game and awesome fireworks display afterward.
On Monday prior to the 4th, the donors that made the new grandstand possible were honored at the baseball diamond. It is amazing what this community can accomplish when something needs to be done. Thank you to all involved in making a reality of this beautiful new grandstand.
I see the construction barrels are out on Highway 10, which means the new interchange construction will begin soon. This will be a great asset when this is finished.
New York Mills held its 4th annual Lund Mania fishing tournament this past Friday, and what a great event it was once again. I am proud to be able to be a part of the fun. I was a spotter in the tournament. Although the weather was not very favorable, it was fun nonetheless. A great parade followed, and I want to congratulate the group that put the event together.
Have a great week everyone.
